Directly from live shows in Brazil, two time billboard charting
cd artist , Edi, will make a rare New York City appearance,
showing her special knowledge of Afro-Brazilian dances from her
native Bahia and her high energy samba moves she absorbed in
Rio de Janeiro. She has danced in live shows and on TV and in
video clips in the Brazil and United States.

Mr. E, Brazilian mangue rapper and percussionist will make his New York City

 debut.  He also uses afoxé and samba in his powerful interpretations.

Marizete and friends will be dancing Samba de Gafiera, which is a refined

samba dance from Rio, the birth place of Marizete. She will also demonstrate with

costumes the samba of carnival in Rio.

Along with Mr. E's percussion, the live band will include, Andrew
Scott Potter on drums and percussion. After 8 years of career in
New York, Andrew has been living in Brazil for 20 years. He has
played and recorded with some of the finest musicians in
Brazil, including, Elza Soares, Paulo Russo, Gilson
Peranzzetta, Luizao Maia. He also has 3 records on the mangue jazz series on bons ritmos.

Tony Cimorosi, on bass, played various jobs at sounds of Brazil
since the mid 80's. He has various records out.

Joe Carter, who lives near New York, has been doing gigs in Rio
since the late 80's and records his records with various Brazilan artists.

The band is passionate for Brazilian music, which take a lot of time to explore and get

 the beats swinging authentically . Some of the songs in the live band set will include, triste,

 fotografia, corcovado, mas que nada, wave and some coco rhythms done to jazz standards.
